Growing up in the vibrant cities of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, my childhood was filled with a love for sports, a passion that continues to fuel my writing today. After completing my education, I pursued my passion for teaching, and I've had the privilege of working in schools in Australia before embarking on a journey that took me to Asia. Living in diverse countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, I've had the incredible opportunity to teach at amazing schools and immerse myself in different cultures.
Teaching has been my anchor and wellspring of inspiration. It's not just a profession but a source of endless creativity. My experiences in the classroom enrich my storytelling. My books carry educational messages, such as the importance of overcoming challenges and the value of persistence, while offering practical ideas for both students and teachers to bring into the classroom.
Although my stories contain these educational elements, they are also designed to be thoroughly entertaining. The narratives drawn from my teaching experiences and are inspired by the ups and downs of primary school life. Much like a police officer would write about life on the force or a doctor about their experiences in hospitals, I write about what I know and love, which is why my stories are centered around the exciting world of primary schools.Â
Writing is not just a passion; it's a way of sharing the lessons, adventures, and joys that come from both my teaching and writing journeys.
